People travel for all sorts of reasons. Sometimes it is for a longer, planned and well deserved holiday, other times it is to visit relatives and family that you haven't seen in years. Sometimes there are even more sombre reasons to travel, and sometimes you just have to travel for work.

The purpose of travelling for business in an age when we have Skype and conference calling is really to have a face to face meeting. No matter how advanced the technology has become there are some things that are sensitive and must be handled in person.
So while travel for business can be tiring and tedious at times, and you may not get to see all the sites that the place has to offer, you may see a little bit. And since you are there to work, any relaxation time is a luxury anyway.
