Seeing Far More of Our Own Country

So, whilst many more people are tending to stay home this year: as the cost of foreign travel has reached completely disproportionate levels now, it is an excellent idea to think about getting out and exploring the United Kingdom in far more detail than we may have been used to in the past.

Whether you decide to take your own car, a motor home or even Sprite caravans, driving around the country and completely going with the flow is perfect for discovering parts of the nation that you would never have known existed.

There are numerous parts of the country for you to discover. Within England you have Devon, Cornwall, Dorset and Somerset, in the south-west; the Cotswolds and Malvern Hills in the west; the magnificent Peak District in Derbyshire; and lest we forget the hugely popular Lake District National Park in Cumbria.

In Wales you have the unlimited deep valleys and some idyllic and picturesque settings to discover. The north of Wales is particularly nice and the town of Llandudno is a definite favourite seaside resort of mine in the UK.

Scotland is far bigger than many people realise and the Highlands and islands are just there for you to discover. Northern Ireland is easily reached by car ferry and a part of the UK that is often overlooked in favour of Great Britain.

People may say that the UK is small, but when it is just you, the family and a caravan, you will actually discover that our nation is bigger than you think, with more to discover than most other countries on this planet.
