Whether you are flying to America on business, or you are headed for a central London hotel you will find that your journey is rendered long and unbearably uncomfortable if you choose the wrong outfit to travel in.
Tight jeans, restrictive shoes, and anything in a colour that will show sweat marks and food stains are bound to make you miserable for the duration of the journey. In order to avoid this kind of difficulty, you will need to put some thought into the business of getting dressed before you fly.
To begin with, you will want to wear clothes that are fairly forgiving: this means finding trousers that are a little on the loose side and conducive to long periods of sitting down. Jeans can be perfectly fine, however, if they are at all clingy, you will doubtless find them to be unbearably restrictive.
Shoes are perhaps the most important items to consider. Remember that extremities tend to swell slightly in transit and so you will want to wear comfortable shoes or boots. Anything with tight fitted straps should be packed and not worn. Opt for slip-ons in a soft leather or breathable cotton.
Dressing for a flight is not quite as easy as you might imagine. It is also important to get the process right, since your comfort during the flight depends on it.
